You can find us at the Makers Tent. \nRSVP \nJoin us for the Queering Wood Craft Meet-Up to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community during the 2026 Philadelphia Pride Festival!Connect with fellow makers and share stories\, experiences\, and creativity within our vibrant roundtable members. Stop by\, say hi\, and be part of the conversation! \nArtist Scott Braun will be joining us for the day with his The Decency Project. The Project ranges from intimate dialog to group conversation to performative demonstrations and sometimes even collaborative performance. In all cases\, finding connection and community through craft and labor is at the core. What does it mean to be human? If I am human\, what does that mean I should do\, and not do? How do we define decency and shame? Come carve a spoon with me and find answers together. At least more questions. Or maybe just a way to feed each other. \nArtist Fable Maas will also be joining us to give a Marquetry demo on the Markers Stage at 2:30 pm. \nThe Museum will be hosting a hands-on craft table for all ages to participate. \nBe sure to catch both artists and get crafty at our table. \nQuestions? You’ll enjoy spoken word by some of Philly’s top poets\, a panel discussion on the impact of spoken word\, and a reading from More Than a Slam by author and educator Cait Kay. \nAbout the Author \nCait Miner Kay has been an educator in the School District of Philadelphia since 2008. A graduate of Temple University\, she currently serves as a school-based teacher leader and spoken word poetry teacher at the Academy at Palumbo High School. Cait is also the co-director of Philly Slam League\, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people discover the power of their voices through weekly spoken word poetry competitions. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband Matthew and her daughters Adia Sherrill and Bennu Jane. Her first book is More Than a Slam: A Guide to Teaching Spoken Word Poetry in the Secondary Classroom.\n

Don’t miss this special evening of music and art coming together. \nDoors open at 6:30 pm\nMusic from 7:00 to 8:00 pm \nAbout MacBuck \nOriginating as the solo project of guitarist and songwriter Ingrid Buckley\, MacBuck grew into an indie rock trio in 2021\, currently with the additions of Salina Kuo (St. John’s Wort\, River Full of Fruit) and Thomas Hagan (Sargasso\, The Lunar Calendar).\n\nFrom the earliest recordings based out of their hometown in Southeast Ohio\, to the DIY venues of Philly\, MacBuck finds inspiration in both the unexpected and the mundane of city living.
